From 2003 -2005 AWAW with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency successfully held 25 workshops on UN resolution 1325 whereby making grassroots and urban level women leaders aware of the resolution in almost all the districts of the country.

Also in 2006 AWAW conducted consultative workshops on resolution 1325 to the politicians of all levels through 18 workshops throughout the country with the generous support of The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
