With the support of the German Development Cooperation AWAW brought in 10-16 members from three civil society groups of the South and North-East for a facilitated dialogue of relevant and common issues through 9 successful workshops held in three locations, bringing in each group for three workshops.
Through this highly relevant and timely process AWAW was able to create greater understanding between groups and a wider segment of the population were made aware by the participants through disseminating meetings, newspaper articles, TV programs as well as weekly sermons in the religious places, which had a big impact on the process of national reconciliation in Sri Lanka.
